The 1st picture shown above in the workbook page I had the students complete for classwork on fact families and inverse operations. I took all of them home and graded them to plan for my 2nd day's lesson. The 2nd picture is how I collected data on the workbook pages. I quickly wrote down which students got it (check mark) and I marked if they got some wrong what they did wrong (F.F = fact families, WP = word problems, etc). I also wrote down if they finished the workbook page or not. As you can see, Block 2 did not finish while Block one did. Since my inquiry was on Block 1, I created my 2nd day's lesson plan on them, but modified it for Block 2.
For the 2nd day's lesson I chose to enrich Block 1 by creating a more student-centered lesson. I wrote on an anchor chart steps they would complete for the day (3rd picture). I chose to create the lesson this way so that students who needed help could have individualized help from my CT and I while students who were ready to move on could do so at their own pace.
